Live Your Life Happy

December 2nd, 2010

You know, you only get one life to live. As much as we don’t really want to admit it, we have to make the most of the time we have on this earth. That’s why I think we should all live a happy life – now. Don’t wait until tomorrow or the next day. Live your life to the fullest right now…and every day hereafter. Here are some ideas I came up with for living a happy and fulfilling life.

1. Quit any addictions. Alcohol, smoking, drugs, or even sex addictions do nothing to contribute good and happiness to our lives. In fact, addictions have a tendency to run our lives! I for one don’t want anything or anyone telling me how to live except myself. If you are suffering from an addiction, get help today. You can start at LaPalomaTreatment.com.

2. Surround yourself with love. If you are around love, you can’t help but love in return. Surround yourself with friends, family, and even pets that you love.

3. Do things that make you happy. Do you enjoy singing? How about sewing? Maybe you enjoy running or shopping. Whatever it is that makes you happy, go out and do it! You are the only one who can decide what makes you happy and what doesn’t. Stop wasting time on things you don’t enjoy simply because it is expected of you.

4. Set some goals. Setting goals and achieving them can help you to feel happy. If you’ve always wanted to run a 5K, set a goal and run it. If you’ve always wanted to learn to play guitar, find a teacher. You’ll find a lot of fulfillment in accomplishing something.

This is your life and your life to live! Now is the time to live it to the fullest and enjoy everything around you. Don’t waste time being unhappy. Be your best and find happiness today!

What are These Prescription Discount Cards, Anyway?

August 17th, 2010

A lot of people have been hearing more and more about these things called prescription discount cards. And if you have gotten an e-mail about them, delete it, because it is almost certainly spam of some kind. But prescription discount cards are for real — don’t think that you can’t get a decent amount of money off of your prescription drugs costs by having one. And in fact, this can actually be the best way to get your prescriptions if you’re in the Medicaid “donut hole” that people inevitably fall into. It is kind of ironic, that you end up paying the most when you actually need it the most.

With a prescription discount card, your prescription medicines cost you significantly less if they are covered. In some cases, these can be savings of 20 percent or more — and if you have to pay $300 a month or so, that can be a little something. Obviously, you won’t get rich on these discounts, but it can be a nice way to avoid living in the poor house. After all, every dollar you save on your prescriptions can go into something that is more important to you actually having a high quality of life — survival for its own sake is kind of a lame way to live, after all.

With a prescription drug card, all you have to do is go to a pharmacy where its benefit is honored, and the process becomes pretty easy. A lot of different pharmacies even have their own Prescription discount cards on offer, if you happen to meet their particular eligibility requirements. And from that point on, all you have to do is have your doctor’s office phone in your prescription, and pick it up just as easily as you’d get a newspaper or a cup of coffee.
